Nestled along the shores of beautiful Lake Kabetogama, Mahaffey's Moosehorn Resort is a family-owned and operated fishing and family resort located on the shores of Voyageurs National Park.
Since purchasing the resort in 2019, the Mahaffey family has been dedicated to creating a place where guests can slow down, reconnect, and experience the best of the Northwoods.
With comfortable cabins, protected docks, a sandy swimming beach, boat rentals, full dock service, and easy access to some of northern Minnesota's best fishing and outdoor recreation, Moosehorn offers everything you need for a memorable getaway on the lake.

And then there's Moose.
As the resort's unofficial welcoming committee, Moose the Newfoundland is often one of the first to greet guests.
Friendly, gentle, and impossible to miss, he's become a favorite among returning visitors and is always happy to make a new friend.

What a wonderful week to spend at Moosehorn. We enjoyed walleye, sauger, and northern pike, many from the resort’s dock. The view of the lake from the Birch cabin and the dock is gorgeous. And the lake is awesome.

Our kids will rave about this place forever. Thanks for all the “TLC”, fishing lessons, advice and directions. From the restaurant to the fishing guide, it was all perfect. Such a beautiful place, cabin, dock, facilities. All well kept. And Calvin caught fish!!! Woo Hoo!!!

This is our 3rd vacation at Moosehorn. Still love the wildlife (saw two baby loons!), what a treat! The lake with all the islands makes it very unique and the most beautiful lake we have seen by far!
